At Hand in Hand, we believe that personal care products can be a force for good in the world. Founded on the simple idea that everyday items can create positive change, our mission is to sustain people and the planet through ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible practices.

In 2011, Bill and Courtney Apple were shocked to learn that millions of children were dying each year from preventable water-related illnesses. Driven by this sobering statistic, they set out to create a better soap that could make a tangible difference. Thus, our BUY ONE, GIVE BACK program was born, providing access to soap, clean water, and hygiene education in communities around the globe.

To date, we have donated over 13.8 million bars of soap, 120,000 gallons of clean water, and helped build new wells in over 23 countries. But our work doesn't stop there. In 2018, we expanded our efforts to Cambodia, partnering with ECO SOAP BANK to recycle and redistribute wasted hotel soaps to impoverished communities.
